‍Children’s Museum Houston invites you to a thrilling play adventure with all-new '”Game Quest” exhibit!

Exhibit debuts THURSDAY, June 27 at 10 a.m.

HOUSTON (June 28, 2024) –Children's Museum Houston is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest exhibit, "Game Quest," sponsored by Oxy and The William Stamps Farish Fund on June 27, 2024. This captivating exhibit invites you to embark on an adventure through a life-size board game filled with puzzles, competitions, and collaborative challenges.

• Challenge yourself with brain-teasing puzzles.
• Engage in one-on-one games or play with the whole family at our many game stations.
• Test your skills with larger-than-life game pieces!

In "Game Quest," you can choose your own path and make your own rules, providing endless ways to play. Whether solving brain-teasing puzzles, competing head-to-head, or working together towards a common goal, everyone will find excitement and learning around every corner. The exhibit features both classic games from around the world and innovative new games that will introduce you to fresh concepts and experiences.

"We are thrilled to launch 'Game Quest,' an exhibit that embodies the spirit of learning through play," said Jacob Breier, Children's Museum Houston Director of Exhibit Development. "We believe this exhibit will not only provide endless fun but also help children develop crucial problem-solving and mathematical skills."

With math at the core of "Game Quest,” the exhibit is designed to sharpen your problem-solving skills with mathematics-focused games and puzzles. As you navigate through the exhibit, you will encounter games that exercise mathematical concepts such as algebraic thinking, measurement, probability, numbers and operations, and more.  There's a lot to see and do in "Game Quest” including:

• Solve perplexing puzzle boxes.
• Race friends at solving the Tower of Hanoi.
• Challenge each other at Super Tic-Tac-Toe.
• Decorate your own stick dice.
• Explore probability with the giant coin flipper.
• Play "The Floor is Lava."
• Navigate the Finger Maze.
• Watch the ball drop down the Plinko Wall.
• Recognize numbers everywhere.
