Through hands-on activities developed and led by Rice graduate students, young scientists and their families can discover the colorful patterns hidden in different kinds of light and experience magnetic forces in action. Discover the Colors Hidden in Light: Look at light from different sources through a diffraction grating and discover the colorful patterns hidden within it. Compare the patterns and learn how scientists use spectroscopy to study light and materials.
