Each year, the Vietnamese Culture and Science Association partners with the Children’s Museum Houston to bring this celebration to the city of Houston. Join us as we celebrate Mid-Autumn Fest through activities, storytelling, lion dance, and more!

Festival Activities: Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with hands-on activities, cultural displays brought to you by the Vietnamese Culture & Science Association.

When: From 9 am to 1 pm in Kids' Hall

Storytimes - Thanking the Moon: Enjoy a reading of Thanking the Moon by Grace Lin, a sweet story about a family celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and its traditions.

When: At 11 am, 1 and 3 pm at Kaleidoscope

Soaring Phoenix Lion Dance: Experience the energy and beauty of a traditional lion dance!

When: At noon in Playscape, 2 pm in Kids' Hall

Dance of Asian America: Enjoy a captivating performance highlighting traditional and contemporary Asian dance.

When: At 1 pm in Brown Auditorium

Lantern Making: Design and decorate your own paper lanterns, bringing light, color, and creativity to the Mid-Autumn Festival all day long.
