Celebrating Black History: From Ancient African to Today: Celebrate Black History through music, dance and poetry highlighting the remarkable contributions of African Americans across history. Presented by Express Children’s Theatre.
"Git" on Board!: Take a musical ride on the Underground Railroad to meet the heroic Harriet Tubman and learn of her early experiences. Hope Shiver interweaves Tubman’s poignant story with spirituals and songs, which often contained hidden messages for preparing slaves to escape to freedom.
Black History Month Story time with ABC13: Join ABC13’s Briana Conner for a special story time that highlights the rich history, culture and contributions of Black voices throughout history.
The Griot Speaks: Griot Manning Mpinduzi-Mott brings ancient African tales and storytelling to an interactive stage, using drumming, audience participation, and magical transformations to share history and culture.
