Let's talk turkey! Following the national tradition, one lucky turkey will be pardoned by Children's Museum Houston's Kids' Committee president.
Gather your flock. You're cordially invited to join Kids' Committee President at the Museum's 8th annual Presidential Turkey Pardon!
Did you know that the tradition of "pardoning" the turkey at the White House, was actually started by a kid!? President Abraham Lincoln granted clemency to the main course of his family's Christmas Dinner in 1863 after his son, Tad, interceded on behalf of the turkey's life.
Join us for the odd tradition of "pardoning" the turkey with fowl, fun, fitness and food.
Good eating, Ms. President. But let's keep this one trotting!
