Children’s Museum Houston unveils all-new, reimagined PowerPlay physical fitness exhibit with warm-up exercises ceremony!

Clutch, Diesel, Orbit and Orion make special appearance!

July 14, beginning at 10:15 a.m.

The Museum’s iconic physical fitness exhibit, PowerPlay, has been completely reimagined and will be unveiled during a Grand Opening ceremony which will include special appearances by Houston Rockets’ Clutch, Houston Dynamo’s Diesel, Houston Astros’ Orbit and Sugar Land Space Cowboys’ Orion.

Many of our exhibits have not been revisited since they debuted during our expansion in 2009, before the iPhone even existed!  As part of our next plans, we will be reimagining or reconceptualizing our exhibits to reflect new technological advances, include latest and most current educational information, extend our audience reach, cover new topic areas, and align with current capabilities of how children explore educational concepts.  PowerPlay is the first exhibit to be transformed.

The event will be marked by a warm-up ceremony involving sports mascots, followed by ribbon cutting.
