GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY BLAST OFF!
Children’s Museum Houston invites you to reach beyond the stars for an intergalactic celebration!
Saturday, July 1, beginning at 10 a.m.
Calling all space cadets! Your favorite troop of quirky misfits is making an intergalactic stop at Children’s Museum Houston. Come dressed as your favorite “Guardians of the Galaxy” for a themed celebration.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Guardians Meet-and-Greet: Star Lord and Gamora will make a special visit. Bring your camera!
Event Time: 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. in Kid’s’ Hall Alcove.
Save the Galaxy, Plant a Groot Workshop: Let your creativity take root and take home a “baby Groot!”
Event Time: 11 a.m., noon, 1, 2, 3, and 4 p.m. in Alexander Art Academy.
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
- Woven Constellation: Create your own cluster of stars in Alexander Art Academy.
- Blast Off: Explore propulsion by learning how to build straw rocket in Science Station.
- Film Cannister Rockets: Lift off! Catch a propulsion “explosion” in Science Station.
- Rocket Firework: Make an eye-catching firework display with festive straw rockets in Junktion.
- Rubber Band Rocket: Build a “rocket” that launches up into the air in Chevron Makers Annex.
