WHAT:
Happy New Year, Houston! Children’s Museum Houston is off to a great start during the New Year! Children’s Museum Houston was named Good Housekeeping’s “2023 Stand-Out Kids’ Museum” in the Best Family Travel Awards. Serving nearly a million people onsite and through its outreach programs, and welcoming visitors from every state in the United States and from more than 40 nations, Children’s Museum Houston is the only children’s museum in the country to be included in the lengthy award list.
HOW:
The venerated publication selected Children’s Museum Houston as one of five winning Southern destinations for its first-ever Best Family Travel Awards, urging visitors to “arrive early because there are so many cool exhibits for kids to see.”
Good Housekeeping Institute Labs sent experts out, some with families, to scout great travel locales in the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean, considering experience, convenience, value, service, quality, safety, innovation, inclusion and more, for a well-rounded snapshot. For seven months, analysts visited cities and local attractions to provide first-hand feedback on their experiences. They surveyed their proprietary panel and reviewed responses from over 3,000 consumers who had taken recent trips to weigh in on their favorite vacation experiences and more. They determined Children’s Museum Houston appealed to a variety of grade levels so “siblings can experience it together.”
