Houston’s most philanthropic golfers came together for a good cause at the Museum’s Randy Allen Spring Golf Classic, held at Memorial Park on May 1. The event honored the legacy of Randy Allen, who championed the Museum for more than two decades, including service as Board President. Many members of the Allen family were a part of this joyful day.

Players took part in a California-style scramble, a closest-to-the-hole competition, and a happy hour with awards for the top-ranked teams. Thanks to the dedication of chairs Laurie Allen, Kate & Steve Gibson, and Susan & Stephen Socher, the event raised $210,000—the second-highest total in the tournament’s history.
It was a great day on the green, and one that will continue to make a difference by supporting the Museum’s outreach programs.
