At Children's Museum Houston we don't just teach STEM, we set it in motion! ExxonMobil Full STEM Ahead is your ticket to a year-long journey powered by curiosity, creativity, and hands-on discovery. With the support of ExxonMobil, families across Houston are invited to climb aboard and experience STEM like never before.

What is Full STEM Ahead?

It's a full-throttle STEM adventure. From February through December, the Museum transforms into a place where ideas move, build, test, and take off. This is full-speed, hands-on exploration where:

• Curiosity fuels every question
• Creativity drives every solution
• And you compete, collaborate, and celebrate wins (and epic fails)

Each month, the Museum becomes a high-energy hub of problem-solving and play. Families choose their line (Team Yellow or Blue) and take on one epic, hands-on STEM challenge designed to test creativity, teamwork, and a little friendly competition, earning points, testing ideas, and working together to come out on top.

Expect unforgettable challenges like:

• Paint in Motion (pendulum physics in action)
• Bowled Over by Science (giant-scale engineering fun)
• STEM-inspired builds that put your designs to the test

And just when you think it's over... MindFest Challenge: Overtime rolls in during Free Family Night, giving you another shot to change the score and help your team surge ahead.

The Grand Finale

One Last Challenge. One Winning Team.

In December, the journey reaches its final destination. The ExxonMobil MindFest Finale brings back the year's favorite challenges for one unforgettable day, complete with high-energy demonstrations, hands-on fun, and a celebration that goes out with a band (and maybe a little confetti in team colors). One team will take the lead. But the real win? A year of discovery that never slowed down!

Keep The STEM Rolling!

• During select weeks, including National STEM Week, Full STEM Ahead takes over the entire Museum with special guests, STEM professionals, and interactive workshops.
• With STEM on the Go, Full STEAM Ahead pops up during special celebrations like Dia del Nino and throughout the summer, bringing hands-on creativity directly to families when they need it most.
• Through the Full STEAM Ahead Book Collection in partnership with Houston Public Library, families can take ideas home, keep curiosity moving, and continue building, questioning, and discovering together!
